Workshop over de toekomst van genetisch testen en de mogelijke sociale implicaties.
Vanuit critical design komt een keur aan wetenschappers en kunstenaars samen in de Heerlijckyt (België) op 8 en 9 juli 2010.

We are delighted to welcome you to our creative workshop on the future of genetic testing and its possible societal impacts. The event fits within the context of a larger research project  on molecular karyotyping, initiated by the KULeuven and various partners. The workshop will assess the topic from a particular angle, i.e. that of the emerging field of critical design. Therefore Pantopicon invited top designers Tuur Van Balen & Revital Cohen, both alumni of the Royal College of Art in London (UK), to co-inspire the discussion and challenge you to create artifacts which will help the project consortium to further stimulate the soci(et)al debate. Heads-in & hands-on we will discuss the core topics of the research project and create thought- & discussion-provoking designs for fictional futures-inspired products/services/experiences. We look forward to welcome you as part of our select team of creative future explorers on July 8-9 at the Heerlijckyt van Elsmeren.
